What to do after gaining admission into a program via the Etudes en France portal?

Congratulations for your admission !

 

ACCEPTING THE ADMISSION OFFER

You have been accepted into a school in France via your Etudes EEF portal. You are now required to accept the offer. After logging in to your Etudes en France account, please follow the steps below:

  • Click on the third tab titled The higher education institutions are reviewing your file” which would reveal your program cart.

 

  • At the bottom of the section, if you have been accepted into at least one program, a congratulatory message awaits you. Underneath this message, click on the link I already have an admission”. You will be directed to Finalize your application.

 

  • In the tab beneath “Add”, Click on “An acceptance letter issued by the Etudes en France portal” and click on the “Add” button.

 

  • A table containing the program(s) and institution(s) into which you have been accepted appears. Click on the option “Select this program” beside the program of your choice. A box titled “proof of admission” pops up.

 

  • Scroll to the bottom of the section and click on “Choose this program”.

 

CAUTION! Once you select this you cannot change your program choice. Make sure this is your final choice. You have until the 31st of May to choose a school on the portal.

 

  • Register your selection by clicking on “Save” at the bottom of the screen.

 

  • As soon as you have the admission letter which has been generated by the EEF platform you must begin your visa application. Kindly follow the steps below to proceed.

 

NB:

  • The proof of admission generated by the platform is the admission letter which will be used for the visa application. Some schools may choose to send another admission letter aside the EEF one though they are not obliged to.

 

  • If the institution you have applied to via Etudes en France informs you directly that you are admitted into their program, but does not indicate the admission decision on the Etudes en France portal, please inform the institution to do so, in order to validate it and proceed with the next step.

THE VISA APPLICATION

After accepting the admission offer, please begin the visa application process as indicated below.

 

STEP 1:  Check the list of required documents needed for the student visa application and start gathering them.
 

 

 

STEP 2: Fill out and complete the France Visa form on the France-Visas website using the following link: https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en_US/web/france-visas  . See template below.
 

 

STEP 3: When you have all the required documents,  click on VFS website to book an appointment date to submit your visa application at the embassy of France.
  • You will be asked to pay 301 GHS by mobile money or bank deposit to VFS to validate your appointment.
  •  Should you face any challenges with the appointment regarding the none availability of slots or unfavourable slots, do not hesitate to contact us.
 
 
STEP 4: Report to the visa application center located at One airport Square  on time for your visa appointment.

 

NB:

  • Applicants are urged to submit their visa application at least 2 months before their intended date of departure.  
  • They are also encouraged to visit any of our offices a few days before their appointment date at the VFS visa application center to have their visa application file verified and arranged in the right order.
  • Note that the Embassy of France does not provide express visa application.
