
French Embassy in Ghana Scholarship- For Master Students 2025-2026
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN.
Within the framework of academic cooperation and student mobility between France and Ghana for the 2025-2026 academic year, the French Embassy in Ghana is offering full Scholarships to Ghanaian students at Master’s levels on a merit and needs basis.
Note that in France, a Master’s program usually lasts two years (M1 + M2). The scholarship covers two academic years if the scholar is admitted in M1, and one academic year if the scholar is admitted in M2.
The application file must respect the eligibility criteria stated in this call.
A / Eligibility criteria:
French Proficiency is not a requirement for application (except for Masters in FLE French as a Foreign Language).
- Have Ghanaian nationality and reside in Ghana
- Under 30 years old
- Hold a Bachelor's degree for a Master
- Have completed National Service
- First Class or Second-Class Upper applications will be given priority consideration
- Be fully committed to take up a course of study in France for the academic year 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 for the full master program in France (M1 and M2)
Fields of Study: STEM, Mathematic, ICST, Health, Environment and Sustainable Development, Archaeology and Heritage studies, Cultural and Creative Industries, Agriculture and Food Industry, French as a foreign language.
B / Mode of application:
Applicants are required to submit combined soft copies of their application file by email, the combined documents must be named: Name-Surname_2025_Master.pdf
The subject of the message should include Name-Surname-2025-Master of the applicant.
An acknowledgement of receipt of a complete application will be sent to applicants via email.
C / The application file should contain the following:
- Copy of your international passport data page (valid for a minimum of two years)
- Recommendation letter from your university (not mandatory but strongly recommended)
- Application form to be downloaded and filled (typed): Application-Form-2025-2026
- Cover letter of the student (maximum of 1 page) detailing the student’s motivation and highlighting how the desired course will support the student’s career development.
- Copies of full Undergraduate transcript (in one or 2 documents maximum)
- Admission letter with a French university for a master’s degree.
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (3 p. max)
- Documents describing the financial situation of the applicant (certificate of scholarship for studies in progress, pay slips or bank statements of students or parents)

D / Calendar:
- 30th April 2025 : deadline for application
- From May to June 2025: Interview for scholarship recipients
- July 2025: As soon as selected, start of the visa application process.
- September/October 2025: Beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year, departure for France.
